Announcing the 2016 Man Booker Prize Longlist

Mb3The 2016 Man Booker Prize longlist has been announced. The Booker is the biggest literary prize given in the U.K, and this year's longlist is composed of thirteen books.

This is the fourth year that books outside of the British Commonwealth are being included, and there are five Americans on the list. There are four debut novels (noted below), and the longlist includes one author, J.M. Coatzee, who has previously won the Booker (and he did it twice).

Of special note, Amazon publishing is proud to have a book on the list: A.L. Kennedy's Serious Sweet, which is published by the Amazon publishing imprint "Little A."
