Grant tackles the challenge of being original: choosing to champion novel ideas and values that go against the grain, battle conformity, and buck outdated traditions. Grant asks the question, How can we originate new ideas, policies, and practices without risking it all? He also answers the question.

The Industries of the Future by Alec Ross - Ross, who served as Senior Advisor for Innovation to the Secretary of State, has a keen understanding of how the technologies of today will change our future. In a straight forward and easy-to-follow style that never condescends, Ross describes the technologies and industries that will grow over the next ten years, examining how we can adapt (or not). I really enjoyed reading this book; there's much food for thought in here.
