Author Harper Lee Has Died



LeeHarper Lee, beloved by thousands of readers for her book To Kill a Mockingbird, has died at the age of 89.

To Kill a Mockingbird was published in 1960 and won the Pulitzer Prize the year following. A high school reading staple, To Kill a Mockingbird told the story of a young girl Scout and of her lawyer father, Atticus Finch, who stands up against racism in their small southern town.

Harper LeeHarper Lee astonished readers in 2015 with the announcement of the publication of her second novel, Go Set a Watchman.
